New Delhi, July 28 -- BJP councillor Satya Sharma was re-elected unopposed as Chairperson of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's Standing Committee, while party colleague Satyapal Singh was elected unopposed as Deputy Chairperson.

The 18-member Standing Committee saw nominations filed only by the BJP for the two posts, resulting in both Satya Sharma and Satyapal Singh being elected unopposed.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi congratulated the newly elected Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, expressing confidence that they would strengthen civic governance and work towards improving public services for the citizens of Delhi. Team MCD wished both leaders a successful tenure in their new responsibilities.
