New Delhi, June 24 -- National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, on 23 June 2026 on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS National Security Advisers Meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ongoing cooperation under the BRICS framework, including proposals put forward by Russia. They also reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The discussions were held in the context of the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership
