New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- Brijendra Pal Singh, popularly known as BP Singh, the veteran producer-director behind iconic television shows CID and Aahat, died in Mumbai on October 27, 2026, at the age of 77. Following his death, members of the film and television industry gathered to pay their last respects at his funeral on Wednesday.

Several CID actors, including Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Ashwini Kalsekar and Hrishikesh Pandey, expressed grief over his demise while speaking to ANI. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit and actor Ravi Jhankal also remembered Singh, highlighting his contribution to Indian television and his influence on those who worked with him.
