New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Saransh Jain became India's oldest Test debutant since 1998, when Robin Singh had made his Test debut at the age of 35 years old. Saransh, 33, was named in the India playing XI for the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday, replacing Kuldeep Yadav.

Saransh also becomes the first player after the age of 33 to make his India Test debut since Robin Singh in 1998.
