New Delhi, Oct. 20 -- Harish Bhat, the non-executive and non-independent director at Trent, has resigned from his position, as per a stock exchange filing dated October 18. Bhat's resignation took effect on 17 October.

In his resignation letter to Chairman Noel Tata, Harish Bhat revealed the reason behind his decision. He cited growing personal and professional commitments as the reason behind his decision.

Bhat wrote in the letter, as per Business Standard, "I am writing this letter to communicate my decision to resign from the Board of Directors of Trent Ltd., due to my existing and growing professional and personal commitments."
