New Delhi, March 29 -- The Congress party on Sunday released a list of 284 candidates for the West Bengal Assembly Elections. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, former state unit chief, will contest the Assembly Polls from the Baharmpur Assembly seat.

West Bengal has 294 Assembly seats. The state is voting in two phases - 23 and 29 April. Vote counting will take place on 4 November.
