New Delhi, April 29 -- Ratna Debnath, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 and the mother of the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder victim, was allegedly targeted and threatened by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers during voting on Wednesday, April 29.
Ratna Debnath, who is a BJP candidate from the Panihati Assembly constituency, told ANI that she was abused and intimidated, claiming that attempts were made to attack her during her visit to a polling area.
