New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that under the influence of a Western Disturbance, isolated light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are expected over the Western Himalayan Region on 17th and 18th February.

IMD also said that light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is also likely over the plains of northwest India during the same period.

However, maximum temperatures across the plains of northwest India are expected to remain 2-4degC above normal throughout the week, with temporary relief anticipated on 17th and 18th February.
