Social media is flooded with videos of people chasing money left in candy bags, envelopes, key locks, takeout boxes, paint cans or covering things like basketballs and footballs. Videos show concealed placement of wades of cash in public areas, urging the public to solve the mystery with their finds. Subsequent videos of winners are a follow up, generating massive views online.
