New Delhi, July 5 -- The US National Weather Service has issued multiple weather alerts across parts of the country following severe Fourth of July storms, warning residents of dangerous heat and deteriorating air quality.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with heat index values expected to reach 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40.5degC), increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

Forecasters warned that the combination of high temperatures and humidity will make conditions feel significantly hotter than the actual air temperature.

Residents have been urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, and check on vulnerable individuals, including older adults, children an...
