US shootings: 1 killed, 4 hurt in Kentucky park attack; 4 wounded in Chicago
New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- A shooting at a park in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday evening left one person dead and four others injured, while a separate drive-by shooting in Chicago wounded four people, including two who were critically injured.
Lexington police responded shortly before 7 p.m. to reports of gunfire at Charles Young Park in downtown Lexington, according to a department statement.
Officers found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at a hospital, while the other four were expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Local media reported that Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said two children, aged 4 and 14, were among those wounded.
