New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- Amid a shutdown affecting the Department of Home Security (DHS), the agency is set to temporarily suspend two programmes from Sunday-the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck and US Customs and Border Protection's Global Entry programmes by the -that speed up airport security checks and US border crossings for some travellers.

As reported by The Washington Post, the half in these two programs will begin from 6 am Eastern Time (11 am GMT).

The TSA PreCheck programme allows vetted passengers to forgo customary security check-in lines for quicker passage. The Global Entry programme, similarly, offers apid check-ins for Americans at US ports of entry.
