New Delhi, July 22 -- US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (July 22) warned that the United States would launch strikes on critical infrastructure in and around Tehran if Iran attacks any vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz, marking his latest escalation in rhetoric amid the ongoing conflict with Tehran.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said any future Iranian attack on shipping in the strategic waterway would be met with immediate military retaliation.
