New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Tiger Woods had his driver's licence suspended for five years on Wednesday after reaching a plea agreement in a case stemming from a rollover car crash in Florida in March.

The 50-year-old golf superstar pleaded no contest to lesser charges of careless and reckless driving, while the more serious DUI charge he initially faced was dropped under the agreement.

During a brief livestreamed hearing at the Martin County Courthouse in Stuart, Florida, Judge Darren Steele warned Woods about the consequences of driving during the suspension.

"If you were to drive for any reason at all you would go immediately back to jail," Steele told Woods.
