New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- At least seven people were killed, and 15 others were injured, including students and teachers, after a gunman opened fire at a school in Thailand's northern Bangkok region on Friday (local time), police said.

According to Thai national police spokesperson Trairong Phiwphan, the gunman, who was also a student, was allegedly killed, Reuters reported.

The incident occurred in the Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province. While police identified the suspect as a student, they did not provide any further details.
