New Delhi, April 24 -- An active shooter incident was reported on Thursday (April 23), at the Mall of Louisiana, triggering a large-scale emergency response from local and state authorities.

According to officials, law enforcement agencies swiftly arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire, believed to have originated near the mall's food court. The shopping center, one of the largest retail destinations in Baton Rouge, was immediately placed on full lockdown, with all entrances and exits secured as officers worked to contain the situation.
