New Delhi, April 30 -- The Indian stock market witnessed a massive across-the-board selloff in morning trade on Thursday, 30 April, which dragged the benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, lower by more than 1%.

The 30-share pack plunged by 1,000 points, or 1.3%, to an intraday low of 76,502, while the NSE counterpart crashed over 300 points, or 1.3%, to the day's low of 23,864.

The BSE 150 Midcap index also crashed more than 1%, while the BSE 250 Smallcap index declined by a per cent during the session.

Investors lost about Rs.6 lakh crore within the first 30 minutes of trade, as the overall market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms stood at Rs.463 lakh crore around 9:45 am, down from nearly Rs.469 lakh crore in the previous session...
