Sensex, Nifty 50 jump over 1% each despite the rupee's fall to a record low, elevated crude oil prices. Here's why
Stock market today, May 14 -- Indian stock market benchmarks- the Sensex and the Nifty 50- jumped more than 1% each in intraday trade on Thursday, 14 May, despite the rupee's fall to record low levels, higher crude oil prices, and persisting uncertainty over the US-Iran conflict.
The Sensex soared nearly 900 points, or 1.2%, to an intraday high of 75,495, while the NSE barometer Nifty 50 jumped 1.3% to the day's high of 23,708.
