New Delhi, April 15 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will "definitely" take part in the BRICS summit in India later this year, TASS news agency reported on Wednesday, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

While there has been no confirmation regarding the dates for the summit, TASS previously cited a source in the Indian government and noted that the BRICS summit is scheduled for September 12-13.

As per reports, the theme for India's BRICS chairship is "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability," reflecting a people-centric, humanity-first approach as articulated by Prime Minister Modi at the 2025 Rio Summit.
