New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- A shared apartment does not necessarily translate into a low monthly budget in Gurugram. A 28-year-old techie, Arjun Singh, has shared a breakdown of his expenses that adds up to Rs.93,290 a month, including rent, groceries, car payments, fuel, food and lifestyle spending.

Singh detailed his expenses in an Instagram video, saying the figure does not include his investments.

The breakdown offers a glimpse into how a combination of fixed commitments and discretionary spending can add up to nearly Rs.1 lakh a month.

Singh said he pays Rs.19,000 a month as his share of the rent for a shared 2 BHK.
