New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- Jacob Coxon, a researcher at artificial intelligence company Anthropic, resigned from the company over concerns that leading AI labs are moving too quickly in their race to develop increasingly powerful systems. And according to Axios, he made the decision just two months before his Anthropic equity was due to vest.

Coxon told Axios that he had been at Anthropic for only four months and that employees need to stay for six months for their stock to vest. "I left before any of my equity vested," he said, adding that he no longer had anything to gain from boosting Anthropic's valuation.

His resignation has since gone viral, with his post on X attracting over 125 million views.
