Q1 earnings beat expectations, but Indian stock market remains rangebound: What could change the trend?
New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- The domestic market benchmark Nifty 50 is down for a seventh consecutive session, marking its longest losing streak since September 2025. In intraday trading on Wednesday, the index declined below 24,050, inching closer to the psychologically crucial 24,000 mark, and lost more than 2% over seven days.
The bigger concern is that the market is failing to respond to better-than-expected Q1 earnings and expectations of a further recovery in corporate earnings.
