New Delhi, March 17 -- A mechanic from Mandoli village in Patiala district received cashless hospital treatment under the Punjab government's Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, helping his family avoid medical expenses estimated at nearly Rs.90,000.
Gurtej Singh, who works as a mechanic and depends on daily wages, was admitted to Chaman Hospital in Bahadurgarh after developing a serious health condition. According to the family, nearly Rs.10,000 had already been spent on medicines and hospital charges within the first few days of admission.
