Penguin India to not publish Sonia Gandhi's memoir? Report reveals what went wrong
New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Penguin India may not be publishing Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's memoir, Belonging: A Journey of Love, as announced earlier. The Indian Express reported that Harper Collins may now be close to finalising the agreement to publish and distribute the book in India.
In a "cover reveal" earlier this week, Alfred A. Knopf (a division of Penguin Random House) announced November 10, 2026, as the release date of the "riveting memoir by one of the world's most prominent women leaders", Sonia Gandhi.
US-based Knopf emphasised that the book tells a richly engaging story of love, family, and an endlessly fascinating country India.
