New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- The NSE share price climbed more than 3% during Thursday's (24 September) trading session after the National Stock Exchange made a modest debut on the BSE. The stock was trading over 4% above its issue price of Rs.1,785.

The NSE share price opened at Rs.1,800 on the BSE, marking a 0.84% premium over the IPO price. The stock gained momentum thereafter, rising as much as 3.36% to Rs.1,845.

At this level, the National Stock Exchange commanded a market capitalisation of around Rs.4.60 lakh crore.

The NSE IPO, worth Rs.22,569 crore, received nearly 6 times subscription on the final day of bidding on Monday, driven by strong demand from institutional investors.
