New Delhi, June 1 -- Shares of NMDC Steel gained 18% in Monday's intraday trade, 01 June, spiking 18% to hit a 24-month high of Rs.52.60 apiece after the company reported a sharp turnaround in its financial performance for the March 2026 quarter and the full financial year FY26, supported by strong growth in revenue and improved operational performance.

The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs.391.9 crore in Q4FY26 against a net loss of Rs.473.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations during the quarter rose 36.7% year-on-year to Rs.3,879 crore from Rs.2,838 crore, while total income increased to Rs.3,905 crore.
