New Delhi, April 6 -- In what President Donald Trump described as "one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in US history," US Special Forces on Sunday undertook a bold incursion into Iranian territory, rescuing the second crew member of a downed F-15 jet from behind enemy lines.

The rescue of the US airman-a weapons systems officer-took place over a day after an F-15 Strike Eagle jet was brought down by Iranian air defences.
