New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Labor Day 2026 will be observed in the United States on Monday, September 7. Celebrated on the first Monday of September every year, Labor Day honors American workers and recognizes their contributions to the country's economic strength, prosperity and well-being.

The holiday has its roots in the American labor movement of the late 19th century, when workers and labor activists pushed for greater recognition of their contributions and better working conditions.
