New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- Kotak Mahindra Bank shares climbed more than 4% in morning deals on the BSE on Thursday, 1 October, after the company announced the appointment of a new managing director (MD) and CEO. Kotak Mahindra Bank share price opened at Rs.425.45 against its previous close of Rs.417.60 and jumped over 4% to an intraday high of Rs.435.50, looking set to extend gains for the third consecutive session.

In an exchange filing on 1 October, Kotak Mahindra Bank said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had approved the appointment of Anup Kumar Saha as the new managing director and CEO of the bank for a term of three years, effective 1 January 2027.
