Judge dismisses Trump's $10 billion defamation suit against Wall Street Journal over Epstein report
New Delhi, April 14 -- A federal judge has dismissed President Donald Trump's $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal and media mogul Rupert Murdoch over a report concerning Trump's ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
US District Judge Darrin P. Gayles ruled on Monday (April 13) that Trump had failed to adequately demonstrate that the article was published with "intent to be malicious," but allowed him the opportunity to file an amended complaint.
In his order, Judge Gayles noted that central questions in the case could not be resolved at this stage of litigation.
