New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has rolled out a series of regulatory reforms aimed at making insurance distribution more transparent, improving accountability among intermediaries and strengthening safeguards for policyholders.
Under the newly notified Insurance Intermediaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2026, the regulator has introduced sweeping changes to the way insurance products are sold and monitored.
