New Delhi, July 7 -- Nearly two weeks after the US attacked Iran for attacking a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran's military fired two missiles at commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, two US officials said.

Citing two US officials, Axios reported that the attacks took place on Monday night, adding that Washington is likely to retaliate with strikes against Iranian targets.
