New Delhi, June 24 -- Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday held a series of meetings with the visiting US delegation led by its trade representative Jamieson Greer, reviewing progress of the ongoing India-US trade negotiations and discussing ways to deepen bilateral economic ties.

The meetings come amid continued efforts by both sides to advance talks on a proposed bilateral trade agreement.

"We reviewed progress of the ongoing India-U.S. trade discussions and explored avenues to further deepen our economic partnership," Goyal said in a post on X. He said he appreciated Greer's leadership and the "sustained efforts of both teams in advancing our discussions in a constructive and forward-looking manner."
