New Delhi, Sept. 28 -- Amid a tightening global oil market due to the war in West Asia, the upcoming India Energy Week 2027 will seek to advance practical solutions to challenges facing the global oil and gas sector, the Union ministry of petroleum and natural gas said on Monday.

The fifth edition of the annual energy conclave is scheduled to be held in Kolkata from 28-31 January 2027. In a statement, the ministry said IEW 2027 will focus on the technologies, innovations and partnerships needed to ensure energy security, affordability and sustainability globally, particularly for countries in the Global South.
