New Delhi, June 16 -- India and Canada on Tuesday agreed to accelerate efforts to conclude negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in 2026, while expanding cooperation across trade, energy, defence, technology and talent mobility.

The commitment came during a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France.
