New Delhi, April 2 -- India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Jammu-Kashmir and thunderstorms with strong winds (50-60 kmph, gusting up to 70 kmph) are expected over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, and East Rajasthan on Friday and Saturday.

It said a fresh wet spell is likely on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rain or snowfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (30-50 kmph), over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
