New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- IIT Kanpur's Gangwal School of Medical Sciences has received major financial support. Rakesh Gangwal, IndiGo's co-founder, contributed an additional Rs.300 crore.

This builds on his earlier Rs.100 crore contribution in 2022. His total commitment to the school now stands at Rs.400 crore.

Rakesh Gangwal will provide matching grants against contributions from other supporters. This encourages broader participation from alumni and philanthropists alike.

The initiative aims to advance medical education, research and healthcare innovation. This aligns with IIT Kanpur's broader vision for MedTech development.
