New Delhi, May 13 -- The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 will see 12 teams participating for the first time-ever as the 10th edition of the tournament kicks-off on June 12 in the United Kingdom. Hosts England face Sri Lanka in the tournament opener at Edgbaston with the final scheduled for July 5 at the iconic Lord's.

Australia are the most successful side in the tournament with six titles in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023. England (2009), New Zealand (2024) and West Indies (2016) have won the trophy once each. South Africa failed to breach the final hurdle in 2023 and 2024.
