The hit came with 8:33 left in the second quarter of Saturday's Battle of the Brothers. Taggart's body went still, then his legs and arms moved slightly. Trainers waved off a cart. An ambulance rolled onto the field. Players from both teams dropped to a knee while Aggies teammates ringed their captain on a spine board.
