New Delhi, July 4 -- The United States is celebrating a landmark moment in its history on July 4, 2026, as the country marks 250 years of Independence. The once-in-a-generation occasion, officially known as the Semiquincentennial or America250, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, when the 13 American colonies declared themselves independent from Great Britain.
