New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has extended the deadline for its 'New Amnesty Scheme, 2025' by three months to December 31, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.

The one-time initiative aims to reduce pending litigation and encourage compliance under the erstwhile Employees' State Insurance (ESI) Act. It provides employers with an opportunity to resolve disputes with ESIC through out-of-court settlements under a structured dispute resolution mechanism.

The scheme was initially applicable from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. Following the extension, employers can now avail themselves of the settlement facility until December 31, 2026.
