New Delhi, May 22 -- At Google I/O 2026, held from 19-20 May, Google introduced what it called the "biggest upgrade" to Search in more than 25 years, pushing AI agents deeper into Search, coding, shopping and productivity tools. Across keynote announcements, developer updates and product demos, Google repeatedly emphasized "agentic AI systems capable of completing tasks autonomously rather than simply answering questions.
