New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Salman Khan and Satnam Singh scripted history on Thursday to become the first-ever Indian men's double sculls medalist at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. The Indian pair stayed in second place until the 1,500m mark before slipping to third in the final 500m, clocking 6:13.25s.

China's Yi Xudi and Yide Nie won the gold medal with a timing of 6:09.37s, while Uzbekistan's Pavel Sorin and Mekhrojbek Mamatkulov claimed silver after clocking 6:10.49. The Indian pair were 3.88s behind the winners. India's most rowing medals at Asian Games came in 2010 and 2023.
