New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Mumbai, Maharashtra, India - EbixCash Payment Solutions, the distribution arm of EbixCash, in partnership with NSDL Payments Bank, has registered more than one crore NCMC RuPay smartcards in five months under the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation's (MSRTC) Smart Card Concession Project.

The rollout, which averages about 66,000 cards a day or roughly 46 cards a minute, has replaced paper concession passes for students, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, freedom fighters and other notified categories across MSRTC's network, which reaches approximately 16,000 villages across Maharashtra.
