New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Dr Dre said he uses artificial intelligence in his music production and views the technology as a creative tool rather than a threat to artists.

Speaking to The New York Times, the rapper and producer said he believed concerns over AI were often rooted in resistance to new technology rather than the technology itself.

He said, "I don't see it as a threat. I think the only people that see it as a threat are the people who have trouble creating."

The producer compared the current debate around AI to earlier reactions to innovations that eventually became widely used in music.
