New Delhi, March 25 -- US President Donald Trump has said Iran offered a "present" as a goodwill gesture during ongoing negotiations to end the nearly month-long conflict.

"We're in negotiations right now," Trump told reporters at the White House on Tuesday (March 24), adding that multiple senior officials are involved in the talks.

Trump declined to provide specifics but said the offer, "worth a tremendous amount of money," was tied to energy flows through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
