Delhi-NCR taxi, auto drivers call 3-day strike over rising CNG, petrol, diesel costs; demand fare revision
New Delhi, May 19 -- Commercial vehicle drivers in Delhi will observe a three-day strike from May 21 to May 23. Unions have cited that taxi fares in the Delhi-NCR region have not been increased for the past 15 years, and the rising prices of CNG, petrol, and diesel as the reason for the strike.
A demand has been raised for an immediate hike in taxi and auto-rickshaw fares. A warning has been issued regarding a larger agitation if their demands are not met.
