Delhi Metro closed for BRICS Summit 2026? Here's what DMRC said
New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- As Delhi prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit this weekend, several heads of multilateral organisations are scheduled to arrive today. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in in the national capital early Friday, 11 September, with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres scheduled to arrive later in the day.
Ahead of the 11-member BRICS summit, scheduled for 12 and 13 September, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) shared a service update, informing passengers that the train services remain unaffected despite elaborate traffic restrictions along several key routes.
