Delhi founder gave up Rs.36 LPA Dubai salary 7 years ago. Today he calls his India career 'far more lucrative'
New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- A Delhi-based founder's decision to walk away from a Rs.36 LPA job offer in Dubai has struck a chord on social media, with the entrepreneur saying that 7 years later, he does not regret the choice one bit - even though he could not find a job in India paying anywhere close to that figure at the time.
Kanan Bahl, founder of Fingrowth Media, shared his career journey in a post on X, recalling that the overseas offer came with a tax-free salary and was, by his account, the highest offer made during ICAI campus placements in that period.
"7 yrs back, I rejected a Rs.36 Lakh job offer in Dubai. It was a tax-free salary and it was the highest ICAI campus placement offer at that time," Bahl wrote in his post.
