New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- A source close to developments has revealed why Deepika Padukone declined Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit. The insider told the Hindustan Times that the actress had met the director only once.

The source claimed that Vanga had arrived a full hour late for that meeting. Deepika reportedly conducted herself professionally throughout the entire encounter. She only received a brief one-liner about the film's premise.
